Sexuality is an integral part of our being and strongly affects many aspects of our lives.

 

Our sexuality and sexual behavior is a reflection of how we view ourselves as men and women and how we relate to others.

 

As in all areas of our lives life, we will likely at some point encounter sexual concerns or problems.

 

These may concern sexual functioning, a discrepancy in sexual desire, or questions of sexual orientation, to name a few. It is when these issues become difficult to handle on our own or even harmful to us, we might seek the help of a trained professional.

 

In therapy, by approaching sexual concerns and problems in the greater context of our lives, we may deal with these issues as challenges that push us towards further development and realization of our potential.
